How to Generate an Image

Go to the Create Image page in the sidebar. Fill out the form and click Generate.

1. Description — Describe what you want in the image. Be specific about the subject, setting, mood, and any important details. Example: “A warm, inviting coffee shop interior with a latte on a wooden table, natural window light, cozy autumn atmosphere.”
2. Domain — Choose the category that best fits your image (e.g., Food & Beverage, Real Estate, Fitness, Retail, Professional Services). This helps the AI tailor the style.
3. Style — Pick a visual style such as Photography, Illustration, Minimalist, or Cinematic. Different styles suit different brands.
4. Aspect Ratio — Choose the dimensions for your image. Use 1:1 (Square) for Instagram feed posts, 4:5 (Portrait) for most Instagram posts, or 16:9 (Landscape) for blog headers.

What Happens Behind the Scenes

Daily Dose uses a two-step process to create high-quality images:

1. Your description is sent to Claude (Anthropic's AI), which expands it into a detailed, domain-specific image specification — including composition, lighting, color palette, and texture details.
2. That specification is then sent to Imagen 4, which renders the final image at high resolution.

This two-step approach produces much better results than sending your raw description directly to an image model.

Tips for Better Images

• Be specific. The more detail you provide, the more accurate the result. Mention colors, lighting, props, and mood.
• Describe the feel, not just the subject. “A professional headshot with soft studio lighting and a clean gray background” is better than “a person.”
• Match the domain to your image. Selecting the right domain (e.g., Food & Beverage for restaurant photos) fine-tunes the AI's understanding.
• Generated images never contain text. Daily Dose instructs the AI to avoid text in images, since overlaid text on social media is usually added separately.

Using Generated Images

After generating an image, it is automatically saved to your Library and marked as AI-generated. You can then:

• Use it as the photo for an Instagram post from the Calendar or post creation flow.
• Insert it into a blog article.
• Download it for use outside of Daily Dose.

Generation History

All images you have generated are listed on the Create Image page, including the description you used and the settings chosen. This makes it easy to revisit a successful style and recreate it for future content.

A Note on AI Image Generation

Each image generation uses Google's Imagen 4 model, which produces high-resolution, professional-quality results. Generation typically takes 10–30 seconds. If a generation fails, simply try again — occasional failures can happen with any AI model.
