AutoPilot

AutoPilot automatically generates daily Instagram post drafts so you always have fresh content waiting for you. Enable it once and Daily Dose handles the rest — you just review, approve, and post.

How It Works

When AutoPilot is enabled, Daily Dose runs automatically every day at 8 PM UTC:

  1. Checks your calendar — AutoPilot looks at whether you have a post scheduled for today.
  2. Generates a draft — if no post exists, it picks a photo from your Library (or generates an AI image) and writes a caption using your Brand DNA.
  3. Sends you an email — you receive an email with a link to review, edit, and approve the draft before it goes live.

Enabling AutoPilot

Open the AutoPilot page from the sidebar and toggle the switch to activate it.

Requirement

AutoPilot requires your Brand DNA to be complete. If any required fields are missing — Business Name, Industry, Brand Voice, Target Audience, CTA Preference, or Emoji Preference — the toggle will be disabled. Go to the Getting Started guide to set up your Brand DNA.

What Gets Generated

AutoPilot creates draft Instagram posts — complete with a photo, caption, and hashtags. These appear as Draft posts in your Calendar view.

Drafts are never published automatically. You always have the chance to review, edit, rewrite, or delete them before approving.

Recent Activity

The AutoPilot page shows your recent activity — a list of posts created by AutoPilot with their status (Draft, Approved, or Delivered). This gives you a quick overview of what has been generated and what still needs your attention.

Pausing & Disabling

Toggle the AutoPilot switch off at any time to pause automatic generation. Posts that have already been created remain in your Calendar — they will not be deleted.

You can re-enable AutoPilot whenever you want to resume daily draft generation.

Tips

  • Keep your Photo Library stocked — AutoPilot picks photos from your library to pair with captions. If no photos are available, it will generate an AI image.
  • Review drafts each morning and approve before your delivery time so they get included in your daily email.
  • Use AutoPilot alongside manual posts — if you schedule a post for a day, AutoPilot will skip that day.
  • Update your Brand DNA regularly to keep AutoPilot content fresh and relevant.
